Default Jensen In-dash DVD??

I just turned 21 on March 29th[sm=yeahsmile.gif] and my dad got me a Ipod nano. I was planning on getting an apline in-dash DVD for my truck but everywhere i looked they were 1200+[] which is something that i cant afford right now. So i was planning on just getting a 200-300 in-dash cd/ipod ready cd player and i was looking at walmart to see if they had the connection for the ipod for an alpine cd player and i came across this...

http://walmart.scosche-cars.com/prod...ductID=4768277

Jensen in-dash DVD player with 7" monitor, I-pod ready, compatible for DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-DA, MP3, WMA, SVCD, VCD and MPEG1, MPEG2 and JPEG (...phew) and it looks like a STEAL for less that $500![sm=icon_rock.gif] my problem is, im not sure if it is able to play the DVD when actually in drive, and i have not been able to find ANYTHING on that model anywhere on the internet (including ebay and the Jensen site). I have seen alot of in-dash DVD players that cannot play while in drive and they need an extra unit to hook up to it that will make it play, if this thing doesnt play while driving, i dont think they would have any other hook-up for it with that connection to make it play.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help,
-David

there is a pink wire coming out of the unit called( parking brake wire) all you have to do is ground that wire to the chassis..
then youll be able to watch all your porno while driving youst kidding

I know shortages of money all too well, but Jensen is a real piece. My friend works Car audio at Circuit City and tells me horror stories about shortages in wires and not to mention the clearity on that LCD sucks *****. I would save a little more and get the alpine or a panasonic becuas they are quality product and will last.

I just put the Alpine D310 in my ram...and it rocksstay away from teh Jensen...poor screen quality blah, blah, blah....you get what what you pay for....as for the drive while you watch...the Alpine needs a double pulse (the brake and parking brake) ingaged before you can "watch it" but who ever installs it can hook you up...holla

im with gonzoe. Nothing wrong with Jensen. Its all luck of the draw. I had a nice kendwood unit go out on me once after a year of use. My bro has a jensen, works like a champ and gets heavy use from him and his friends.

Really concerned just pay the extra 50 bucks and get an extended warranty.

I myself have the jensen in-dash touch screen and love it. The pixels are much better then half the stuff out there, unless you start spending like $3000.
