Default v6 mods

i'm looking into some performance upgrades for the 3.7...read some of the earlier posts and see that there is not a lot of agreement on the best upgrades...but it does seem like better gears are good...and, exhaust makes a 6 sound ricey and throttle body spacers are not worth it...i saw on the net about the AIR RAM packages...does anyone know anything about these products...what about just changing the muffler...and what is the deal with the jeep liberty intake??? any info would help out

I did the liberty intake...the deal is when you look at your engine you ssee this big black box sitting on it, that your filter box hooks to. the liberty peice replaces that baffle box with a tube from your filterbox to your throttlebody. when I replaced it I also cut a larger hole in the intake side of my filter box and put in a K&N. Made a nce lil change.

Well I have a Ram 1500 with a Volant Cold air intake and a Magna flow cat back exhaust. My truck feels more responsive than stock and the truck sounds pretty mean. I heard maybe I should put some headers in. But I am considering on placing a super charger. But the Magna flow exhaust makes your vehicle sound identical to a flowmaster exhaust system. Its pretty cheap too if you find the right place.

I'm planning to go to the local junkyard what exactly is the 4.10 gear? I went to some online part ordering sites and they don't have "gearing."

4.10 gears are what go in the rear gearcase or "pumpkin" which is what your driveshaft is connected to which provides power to your rear wheels. The stock gearing is usually 3.55 which means 3.55 rotations of the tire to every 1 turn of the driveshaft. When you change the ratio to 4.10:1 you get quicker acceleration, and better drivability from the truck, especially beneficiary to you v6 Rams..
