Default Drag Time?

Anyone ever taken a 2004 2 door, short bed Hemi with 17 inch rims to the drag race. What you guys think I would run. I have a CAI, single in dual out flowmaster 40 series, and a Superchip Flashpaq set to 93 octane?

I would not be surprised if you managed to get into the 14's.

check under the dragstrip e.t. thread at the top of the 3rd gen. forum page. I'm sure someone has a similar setup as you and has posted it.

Ouch, one factor I forgot. What gear ratio are you running?

If you have the 3.92, you could get into the 14's I would bet.

if you dont get into the 14's I would be almost shocked. practice your launch before you go and then just be sure to repeat at the track. I have the almost the same set up minus the superchips... SC/SB 5.7 w/intake and aft cat exhaust and I ran a 14.7. But then again where are you?? I am in FL and altitude has alot to do with it.

Few hints for runnin. Drain your tank till about 1/8 to lighten your load and also drop your spare. Take any extra crap out of the truck (toolkits, etc.) Each 100 lbs you lose should speed you up by about 1/10 of a second. If your tires are breaking loose on launch, lower your rear tire pressure by a few pounds to gain some traction area. On the third yellow, punch it, the engine lag should launch you at the right time. Heck, if you wanna get down to it, remove the tailgate too for the weight. Between runs, open your hood to help cool the engine off. I would not suggest manual shifting, you may blow something. Check all your fluids before you go too.

Also, you are 300 lbs lighter than my QC HEMI, so, you should definitely break into the 14's. I was on my way but stopped for the night. Have fun and be safe!

Yea I already took my spare out when I was welding in my duals. I can take my tailgate off too. If you were running 15.25 in a QC I believe I can get into 14's.
