Possible new Ram owner???
Hey all!
A little background... I used to own a 2000 Dodge Dakota. I loved that truck, but I was remarried and the club cab was a pain with three kids. 75,000 miles and not a single problem!
Anyway... I decided I needed something new and didn't really like the looks of the 3rd gen Dak's, so I decided to pick up a 2005 Nissan Frontier. I HATE this truck. I have had it for 1 year. It has been in the shop a half a dozen times and still has problems. Predominantly suspension problems. I am ready to ditch it.
I am considering picking up a used 2002 or 2003 4x4 4-door Ram. Can anyone give me some advice on what to watch out for with a Ram that is 3 or 4 years old? Were there any significant issues on the 2002/2003 models I should be aware of? It amazes me how many 2002 4x4 Rams with average mileage I see for sale under $20,000!
Thanks!
Robo

You can probably pick up a 2004 HEMI. Quad Cab for around $20K. You can usually tell when the truck has been beat on. Don't make the mistake I made buying the 4.7L. Don't get me wrong I love my truck but I envy the Hemi. those trucks are awesome. I thought I would be saving gas with the 4.7L but it is the same crap. Go for the Hemi Dude.
$20,000 for a 2004? I will definately have to check out some of the used 2004 models then! I know the dealer near me usually jacks up the price a bit, so I will probably avoid them.
So no one has had any problems with their Ram trucks and everyone absolutly loves them right?
So let me hear some of you best experiences (driving only please) in your trucks. I had some great ones in my Dak, but have had nothing but regrets with my Nissan.

What can i say? I've had a lot of good experience in my truck even though i havent had it a year yet, though it is an 03. Mostly they've all been racing incidents that have managed to bring smiles to my face. I've raced many Titans and F-150's and beat them all even though my truck is all stock. I get a kick out of my truck no matter what I'm doing. I can be just driving around and not doing anything special. It's great because I wish for a longer commute to work and school now, i just cant get enough of it. If you would like to read some racing stories then check on the Titan vs Ram forum, i think its on either the 2nd or 3rd page now....it's been a while. Anyway, buy the truck and dont look back, just enjoy it. Before buying the truck....look ahead carefully and once you have it, soak up the glory that is a Hemi.
What does RC Hemi mean? "Regular Cab? If its a 4x4, $15,900 sounds real cheap hear in Pa.
