With superchips can you set the rev limiter higher then 6100RPM like 6300RPM.
The highest you can set the rev limiter is 6300 RPM's. But no matter what you set it at, it won't shift higher than 6100. The only thing it does do is hold the gears longer. For example, I set mine at 6200 and LOVED it. I played around with other settings like 6150, 6300, etc, and didn't like how it stayed in the gear. To be honest, I wouldn't want it to go any higher. I've read Dodge tested the Hemi up to 6200 RPM's - anything over that could put strain on the valve train. The 6.1 Hemis have a beefier valve train setup so they can rev to 6400.

HAHAHA!!! This is great. I just took my truck in for a 10,000 mile tune up, I asked the tech about gears, fans, tuners etc to upgrade. He told me they all voided the 7/70 warrenty.

However, he told me to just slap an air ram system on it and if I wanted to I could possibly buy a tuner that allows me to set it back to factory settings. It was so funny though that he would tell me to do something like that and hes a tech.

Anyways, anyone know what my gears are. I have a 2005 Ram 1500 Hemi with the 20in tires. I was figuring that they were 3.92's.

if you have the 20 inch tires and got it from the dealer, you probably have 3.55's I think when you opted for the thunder road package, you get the larger rims and the 3.55 gears. Best of luck with the tuner, mines on the way as well. I just put the flowmasters on and they are pretty loud and not even close to being broken in yet. Good luck.

I don't have the ThunderRoad package. I have a QC 1500 Hemi, lol with 20in tires. Isn't the bigger the tires, the higher the gear ratio? Im still learning.
