Default Program Chips and Tuners Question

I got a question about the programmers and/or tuners.

I know that Hypertech and Superchips makes chips and/or tuners for my 05 Hemi.

I don't know which is better and I don't know which is a tuner and which is a chip or what the difference is between them.

Another question is, I was lucky enough to grab the 7year 70kmile warrenty that Chrysler offered for the short time, so which chip/tuner allows for me to reboot back to stock programming and not have any traces of ever programming into it?

Thanks.

I have the 05 Ram 5.7L and Got the Superchips Programmer, it has 3 modes, Performance, Towing and 87 octane economy modes. The Programmer will let you reprogram it to stock when needed. Hope this helps a little

Thanks, it does.

Now can you tell me whats the differences that you've felt in the car between those three modes? Shifting . . . speed . . . etc . . .

I have the Superchips programmer, and have never set it on 87 or tow mode. I've heard the 87 tune is similar to the performance setting, but has harder shifts. I've set mine on performance, and love it. Increased throttle response, power, acceleration, etc. It unleashes the power already in the Hemi. You'll enjoy it.

As for Hypertech, Jet, etc, I don't know much about them. I heard Superchips was the best, and read good things (with the exception of them promising online updates), and have been satisfied. It's the best mod I've done.

I agree, The Gains are very noticeable. Love it, I have used all 3 modes and Performance is the best, 87 mode does shift kinda hard and The towing mode I think just delays the shift points, I used the towing mode a few times while towing. I also dont know about the other programmers out there. But I love the superchips one. Definately a 2 thumbs up from me

Ok, thanks for the help.

Does anyone know anything about the Hypertechs? Which one is the tuner that you can continually download from the internet. That sounds like a great feature.
