I would say its a crease as it feels dented if you run your finger over it, especially as you work your want back to the wheel where the fender starts to stick out.

 

I took mine through an auto wash, and it tried to rip my antenna off, which resulted in a creased and torn fender. The owner of the wash tried to say he wasn't respponsible for it, as he was standing next to a sign that read "We are not responsible for any aftermarket, or add-on accessories" When I pointed this out to him the story changed, and he tried to have some local guy do the work, which I said I wouldn't allow (after seeing some of his other work)

Long story short:

I turned it in to my insurance company, and they went after the carwash, and I got a new fender out of the deal, at the carwashes expense.

 

As far as the antenna story goes I was close to really f-ing up my fender but the car wash just bent the antenna. Those things are impossible to bend back by hand or in a vise. I ordered a billitt stubbie antenna but if I ever forget to take that thing off in a carwash I am going to do some serious damage, I was close once, had to hit the breaks and stop the whole conveyor belt but it was worth it.

 

If it creased the door badly, you might look in some junk yards for another door. It may be cheaper than having the current one fixed.

 

Sorry to hear about that. I'd feel sick as a dog too, but I guess in the end it is only material and can be replaced/fixed.

 

Well not sure how good you are at body work but buff it and get some primer on there so you don't get rust if the paint is gone. Calling insurance should be last resort if you ask me. I would go with the advice of calling up some junk yards to see that they have. Body work is costly.

you think that sucks, i picked my 05 ram daytona edition up last tuesday and three days later i was driving around town and a delivery boy from dominos ran a stop sign. The end result was i toatled his piece of crap mazda and now i need a new bumper and grille, plus an alingment.

I hate the new vehicle accidents - although - this is odd, the scratch made me feel like i broke it in and felt like i didnt have to always worry about it. Now im not as obsessed.
