I should get my programmer in two days. I purchased it from a guy on ebay. He did say that it was programmed back to stock before he traded in the truck. He informed me that it does not come with that directions. Will I need directiions or can I just plug it in and go from there? Thanks, D

 

From what I understand you can only use the programmers for one vehicle, like the programmer is tagged for that specific vehicle, though I may be wrong. Hope you didn't get taken.

 

No. From what Im told as long as the person put the settings back to stock it can be used on another vehicle. The guy did say in the auction that this was done before he traded the truck in.

 

Dont want to start a flame up here, but i was reading on superchips webpage in the FAQ's and this is what they said about it being used.

Q: Is it safe to purchase a Superchips product off an Internet Auction site?

We are sorry to say the answer is probably not. We get calls from too many unsuspecting buyers that bought what they thought was a new product, only to find out it was used and unusable. Superchips, Inc warranty applies to the original owner only. We do not warrant any used products.
You must provide a copy of the sales reciept in your name for any warranty service.

I dont have one so I really dont know but that is what superchips says. Hope it works out for you.
