New lights (Hey BlackAcid)

RE: New lights (Hey BlackAcid)
Mine look just like the ones in the above pic. I will try to put a link up if I take pics tomorrow. This is an awesome mod and a nice use of a spring afternoon in the driveway. Those pics are of the truck in the day so you all can imagine what it looks like at night. As for the heat it really isn't an issue, with the hood closed and the lights on you can't feel the heat on the outside of the grill. They are only warm when you get real close to them. I also wired it up to a key ON power source in the fuse box so when I turn the truck off the lights go out, now I leave them on when I turn it off and when I hit the auto starter these new lights come on too. It is a truly functional and great looking mod, my most favorite kind.

RE: New lights (Hey BlackAcid)
I came across this mod a few months back.. and I've been dying to do this. Well, I just bought the lights and this weekend I plan on putting these on. I'm curious about seeing where peeps put their switches at. I bought a different switch off eBay hoping to create a "stock" look with the switch. I'll post my pics here after I'm done. But if anyone has any pics of this mod and/or some pics of switch locations.. it would be greatly appreciated...

Mine was just the cost of the lights.. about $100 for the KC Daylighters... there are cheapers ones out there. I posted another thread on this here

Holy Resurrection, Batman!
I still want to do this, but need some help as I'm not exactly mobile anymore.
My issue with the heat was that I (used to) make some long highway trips and I prefer driving at night. Heading to Atlanta on 78, I've gone hours on end passing only a handful of cars in either direction. The stone-guard example makes sense, though. I'm not too worried about that anymore.
I asked in the other thread, but I'll throw it out here, as well...
If there is anyone in the Little Rock/Jacksonville, AR area that knows what they are doing and can give me a hand, I'd much appreciate it.
