stalled 06 mega cab
ok now this is rediculous my new truck stalled on me twice and the rpms are dropping at a red light seems like the trans is stalling the motor or something running realrough last two weeks
so i went to dealer ,they said they never heard of hemi stalling!! so i now they are full of it ,all the posts and crap they got on 03,04,05 staling and this person has neverheard of it??
so he said i need to drop it of and it is going to be an all day deal, and they dont do rental cars so i dont know what im supposed to do cant walk to everything, and they will prob tell me they cant duplicate it and waste a day in it anyway
maybe ilwill call chrysler and see what they can do, since it is a lease and no point renting a truck if it dont run(remember they still own the truck im just renting it)

hey to break it to ya dude, but it sounds like u bought the wrong truck. Just terminate ur lease and get another Dodge, its not worth it. What with all of the stalling and poor gas mileage and all of the crap that ur going through, i think you should just get something u can live with. screw the Mega Cab, i always thought that the 5.7L Hemi was way too small of an engine to pull that kind of weight, maybe a 6.7 or even a 7L Hemi would do the job better, the 5.7 is just stressed.
Are you using 87oct or 89oct?....and Nos4fuel, are you smokin crack?? The 5.7 Hemi is more than enough motor. A reality check, back in the old days when trucks were really used as trucks all trucks weighed as much as now or more and none of them had more than 150hp.
Mystro, its the size of the motor and weight of the truck, it may also be that he hasnt fully broken the motor in yet? but still, gas grade is a factor. i used 87 in my Hemi for a while and it stalled quite a bit too.
YEA THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO MY TRUCK EVERY NOW AND THEN.. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER WITH THE SAME B.S ANSWERS... I CALLED CRYSTLER AND WROTE THEM A LETTER WITH NO RESPONSE... I DONT KNOW, BUT GOOD THING U GOT IT ON A LEASE.. GOOD LUCK MAN!!
