Default Better pray for a miracle

Not to rain on your parade boys and girls but guess what's just around the corner? That's right, the 2006 Hurricane Season!!

A more than active hurricane season is predicted with 5 major storms making landfall. If only one pays a visit to the Gulf of Mexico you can guess what gas prices will do. If by chance that does happen you better be ready for $4.00 to $5.00 a gallon prices!

I do own stock in Exxonmobil. I work in the gulf of mexico for them. You need to also look at the size of ExxonMobil. Banks and insurance company are making lots better profit margins than us.

yes i know that exxon mobil is big, just stating whats been allover the news today makes exxon mobil look like a bunch of leaches sucking the life from this country is all. i have not reserched out to see how much it does take to make a gal of gas so i can't say if they are or are not sticking it to us here but from what i have read so far from new looks bad for all oil comp. as with all the hurricane damage and everything they can still come out that far ahead of the game. or was it that they doubled the price of a gal of gas so they would all get rich who knows.

As long as we don't make our government build more oil refineries and back-off on our thirst for gas by driving big trucks and SUV's many of us don't need we'll never see gas under $2 again. There hasn't been a new refinery built in the US since 1975 and our population has increased 50% since then. The reason gas and diesel prices are so high isn't caused so much by the price of crude but high demand and our lack of refining capability, causing supply shortages. When the oil companies see supplies tightening and/or expect increased demand, prices spike to head-off shortages by forcing some of us to conserve fuel. If you don't really need that big truck you'd be a better citizen to drive something smaller. NAG YOUR REPRESENTATIVES TO BUILD MORE REFINERIES OR WE'LL BE GOUGED EVERY SUMMER FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES!!!

Arrive alive,

Bill

Well said Bill. It is unreal all the govermnet red tape and bull you have to done to get anything done. We do our best to get oil out of the ground cheap. then you spill a cup on the water and it makes front page news. Then everyone is in line to file a lawsuit. Then you only have a hand full of states that allow drilling off the coast. I say if you don't want us to drill off your coast, then go find your on oil. Louisiana takes so many risk with all the refineries and oil coming in too our coast, But the Federal goverment gets all the taxes off the oil. go figure.

well as i said I really don't blame oil comp on this mess was saying what was in the news today. everyone should have seen this coming as everyone is now driving some kind of big suv or full size pickup as there main transportaion was just a matter of time before this happened thats why I mostly drive my 95 mitsubishi mirage
drive my 2004 ram 1500 5.7 hemi mostly during weekends for towing the boat that way the gas saved driving the mirage with 35 mpg lets me go out on the boat all weekend and realax
