Default torsion bars on '05 1500 4wd

I'm new to this website so I hope I'm posting in the right forum. Anyway, I have an '05 Ram 1500 4wd and I hate how much lower the front end is than the rear. I've heard mixed information on tightening the torsion bars to give the truck a more level look. Has anybody done this to their truck and, if so, how was the outcome. What are the cons of tightening the bars.

i ve done this as long as you dont go over board on tightening them up you will not notice too much of difference in ride, but i also stripped those useless 20"s and put 17"s with 35" tires witch also smoothes out my ride, i only leveled it, its the best thing i could've done now it doesn't look like 2wd truck[&:]

You can get away with a 5 turn crank on the TBs and not need new shocks right off the bat. The more you twist the higher the truck gets, the problem is that the shocks extend out farther, requiring you to put spacers in the top mount or get longer shock. Also as long as you stay withing the parameters of the stock TB keys you will not stress out your axles up front either.
Mine is leveled out right now. Looks good but the ride is a bit stiffer up front now. Getting better shocks will help the problem. The stockers just aren't up to snuff and need more agressive dampening and rebound rates IMO.
Lastly, you will need an alingment performed regardless of how far you go, you're changing the geometry of the suspension when you adjust the Torsion bars.
