Actually, I think 2WD puts more power to the ground.

I think he is referring to 355 hp at the flywheel, not the rear wheels. If that is case, it is very possible the CAI and exhaust add 10 hp. As for 270 rwhp being lucky, I think that depends if he has a 2WD of 4WD.
SanDiego 2wd or 4wd doesnt change rwhp, it may change acceleration b/c of weight

c'mon...you aren't serious are you?

OK....on a 2wd...you have the flywheel..tranny. driveshaft .... pinion.

4wd...you have the flywheel....then x-fer case...then tranny....etc....

even with the 4wd NOT engaged, you still have the drag of extra components in the system that will reduce the "to the wheels" amount of power....
a 4wd vesion doesn't weigh more because the truck's bodies are made that different....it's because of the extra mechanical load being present.

if you could gain a single or 2 rwhp just from eliminating items like pullyes, compressors and fans from the motor....imaging the drag on the system a transfer case is having.

What HemiMan4451 said is true. 2wd cars put more power to the ground because it is only divided 2 ways (each rear wheel) and not 4 (All 4 wheels). The Ford Mustang GT puts about 260hp to the rear wheels where as a Subaru STi with the same stock 300bhp at the crank only puts about 220bhp. There is a big differance but the STi is quicker because the wheels dont spin, they just connect and take off. The electric fan will add power and also a larger underdrive pulley will also free up power(NOT ADD POWER) and even add gas mileage because a larger pulley means that the engine doesnt have to turn as hard to power all of the accessories attached to it, such as the A/C and engine fan. It's a worthy investment. From what i have heard you can gain as much as 12 rear wheel horsepower.

click on the link and it will inform you of all technological involvement that goes into using a larger underdrive pulley.
Hope this helps!

slap on the STS system I heard all good things about that company, to bad they dont sell it for the 4.7 motor Rams. Have a good one.

the sts sytem will bolt right to the 4.7. you just need to get a custom tune for the PCM

Feel free to point some of it out as the user who started this may not be able to tell bad info from good.
