Tranny Service
yeah, just did it with no problem. Manuals tell you all you need to know and here's a good link also:http://www.60ateight.com/DodgeRam/
two recs from me; first, wear rubber gloves. Those metal shavings are sharp and small and will be hell to get out of your skin (I'm speaking from experience on this one). Second, you want to torque the bolts back to specs, way easy to overtorque the aluminum pan.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Also, I've got 600 hrs in the UH-1n.

Sweet! The tranny service was the only thing I hadn't done yet in the 30k service. Where did you pick up the filters and fluid from? Dodge? Think its worth doing yourself? There should be 2 filters I believe in the tranny, there SC.
Where you been flying the N's at? I'm training right now in the H models. Just passed 40 hours yesterday.

Tranny filter I used was a Deutsch TF98. You can order from any auto parts store. There is only one that I know of. It's easy to find, when you pull the pan off it's just sitting there staring at you.
For helo flying, I was Navy and flew H/L in training then the N at a Naval Air Station.
