I AM NEW TO THE DODGE THING BUT SO FAR I AM LOVING IT. I HAVE A 2005 RAM QUAD CAB AND I AM THINKING ABOUT RUNNING A STRAIGHT PIPE ON IT (JUST REMOVE THE MUFFLER)
I WOULD STILL HAVE THE CAT FOR BACK PRESSURE BUT I AM NOT SURE IF IT WILL BE ENOUGH OR IF THIS WILL BE TO LOUD IT WORKED GOOD ON MY SUBURBAN AND S-10 BUT I AM NOT SURE OF IT ON THIS TRUCK?

 

My advice would be purchase an electric cut out. This would give you the sound you want and also you can close it if it becomes annoying. I have become annoyed at times when noise intrudes into the cabin so I would close them sometimes and others, i would drive with them open. Also, if you get pulled over because the truck is too loud, or there are cops around, you can close them and then its legal. I dont know what the laws are out there but in Texas, they are legal as long as they're closed.
