when i get on it from a dead stop or on the freeway i hear a tick from the front of my truck like it has load on it or it has a lifter tick not sure if any body can help? i also have a hyper. programmer in it but i have had it in and out but it still makes the tick.

 

is it a hemi? if it is, its most of the hemi have a tick but from what everyone has said its doesnt affect anything

I have a 2004 HEMI and have a tick also. Mines happens all the time, no matter what kind of throttle you are giving it. My father works at a chrylser dealership as a mechanic and he looked at it for me. He said it is just the pipes expanding and contracting, he hooked it up to the diagnostics and everything and could not find anything wrong. As of yet it had not had any effect on the truck at all. I also asked a neighbor of mine who has basically the same truck as I do and he has the same tick.

Does it happen even when the truck is off?? Mines does, this leads me to beleive that pop-dukes was right, exhaust heating/cooling is the issue
