Exhaust dilemma
OK...i went to have my 2 cutouts installed...and they said the way my system is setup i can only install 1 cutout right before the muffler...that would be $45...(they said whoever put my exhaust on has it going from 3" to a dual in single out muffler, then down to 2 1/4 inch pipes running out the back) and they said the best thing for them to do was make it true dual and run the dual cutouts as close to the catalytic converter as possible...so my questions are: 1) does the way my exhaust is now sound messed up the way i described it running from 3" to 2 1/4 out the back, and 2) does the true dual exhaust really help the truck that much? they want $507.92 to run it true dual with a VX Performance dual in dual out muffler and 2 1/2 inch tailpipes...thoughts or opinions? thanks!

RE: Exhaust dilemma
Yes it does to me 3inch duals in and one 2.25 inch pipe out. Thats an awful bottle neck down. also true duals is just that dual pipes from the manifold back with dual mufflers. True duals can make a difference but I haven't heard much bout them on a hemi. My suggestion would be to replace from the muffler back with 3 inch in and 2.5 dual out still a single muffler set up but more free flowing then you have now.
