went off road, messed up truck
ok so i was over at my friend matts house and my friend chris came over and wanted both of us to go to his deer lease and help him move his stand so we get down there and he tells me that he thinks my truck will make it down the pipeline (its a 2wd) so i get goin and its wide open and i cant resist it so i go for a donut and get stuck since i left the trail. chris got his truck stuck trying to get me out. my friend seth with his bronco lifted 10 inches with 40 inch tires and his dad with his f250 lifted 10 inches with 38 inch tires came to get us out.the f250 got stuck but the bronco pulled chris truck out and the f250 out and then the f250 had to pull me out cuz i was bottomed out. and then we went on and got his stand and on the way out i stayed on the trail instead of veering off in the grass which is how i got stuck in the first place but the bronco and f250 had wallered out some of the mud holes on the trail so instead of being able to get through it easy i started gettin bogged down and had to gun it out of there and when got out of it and climbed back up onto stable ground my front end came up and smashed down and tore the front valance (that black plastic thingie underneath the chrome part of the bumper) off and i lost my license plate and bracket. i went back and found the valance but couldnt find the plate and bracket. so what im lookin at right now is 60 bucks for a new plate, im guessing 25-50 for new bracket and 60-100 for the valance.
if anybody knows for sure the price of the bracket and valance from the local dodge dealer then PLZZZZZ let me know.
on another note...my parents are kinda mad at me. i know the truck isnt meant for offroading but i didnt realize what i was getting my self into, at first i felt really bad cuz i try to take really good care of the truck because i realize that most kids my age dont get vehicles this nice and that im really lucky to have it.

Forget about the new plastic part... just get some chicken wire and tie that license plate to the grill... a true redneck solution. Just tell your parents, "I learned from my mistake, and I apologize." That's what I always did and they never knew what to say to that except "Ok good."

Grounded....wow...I haven't heard that word in 23 years. I mostly heard, "look in my top drawer and get my belt".

Grounded----what's that? Seriously, at least you didn't leave the rear differential behind when you got pulled out. Its a truck!!!!!
**** happens. If its being turned into a street machine, don't go off roading.

no it aint a street machine im gonna use it like a truck is meant to be used...maybe a lil bit offroading but i was planning on just dirt roads and **** i didnt know how bad the pipeline was gonna be or else i wouldnt have gone back there.
the reason i have to have the licenseplate bracket is because there was a dent in the front bumper from the previous owner that looks pretty bad but the license plate bracket covers it up perfectly.
New2Durango...at least your dad didnt make you pick out the belt you wanted to get whipped with...and if you picked out one that wouldnt sting, he would pick out the worst one in his closet. lol but he says im too old to spank now.
if anybody knows the cost of the valance (also heard it was called an airdam) or the plate bracket then please let me know...
thanks.

Our trucks are really bad off road. I can't figure out if it is the gearing, suspension or what but the my truck is pretty sad when I have to go to one of my fathers construction sites. Then the Hemi has so much power that you spin your tires so easily even when you are trying to ease into it.
The stock tires are horrible off road but they were so good to me this past winter in the snow/ice. I drove during snow storms in two wheel drive more than I did in four wheel drive. I can't figure it out.
One thing that I do like is that the limited slip seems to lock up faster than any other I have had. An older Chevy limited slip I had was useless.
