Default 4.56 gear question

I'm taking my truck in on Wednesday to have the headers and gears installed. However, they told me to day that the ram can only adjust for 1 gear size in either direction, and they can't do anything to change it in the computer. Is there anything i can get to fix this issue?????

Yeah... tell them to install the gears and that there is NO adjustment needed! And make sure they dont charge you for that service.

I would also question there experience for even sugesting it needed to be corrected....

Your SPEEDO sensor is located on the rear carrier and NOT the transmission tail housing... Your sensor counts the revolutions of the ring gear... NOT the driveshaft... Your ring gear will turn 1 revolution for every 1 revolution of the tire.... BUT your driveshaft will turn 4.56 times (or what ever gear ratio you have installed) for every 1 tire revolution...

So to make is easy.. one revolution will ALWAYS be one revolution.... The only time you will need to adjust your speedo is if you have changed the tire hight.
