Default 6.1 Cams

I've heard of SRT-8 6.1 cams in the 5.7. Is this a myth? Where could I get a pair? Would spray be a more cost effective speed addition? What about new heads? Really just have some money to burn on this truck, if you couldn't tell by the rims.... with 305's this thing hooks up!!!

I've heard of people using the 6.1 cams and heads, although I'm not sure where you would get them.

dude, dont bother with nitrous. all its going to do is burn that motor up and stress it. plus, you own a truck not a dragster. everything else sounds good though man.

i have to disagree i would go for n20 because you could find a application that will not burn the motor or stress it, the cam would do more damage than the n20 bc it would be constantly running unless you also replace the springs and retainers, as for the n20 it would be safe to run a 75 dry or wet shot and you could use it whenever you want 75 shot is probably the best and safest for our hemi. as far as which system goes you should look into zex they seem to have the best setup out there in my opinion, the reason being is that its switch activated and it will not shoot unless you are at wot.

Great looking truck. Did you have to lift it to fit the 305's?

No the wheel wells are big enough for the 305/45's. Might be able to get bigger too if you really wanted to. I'm looking to level the truck by lowering the back a tad.

Go to www.stylinconcepts.com and get the DJM suspension drop shackles. 50 bucks and they level it out nice. ive got a set on my standard cab and it looks good.
