i am retarded. enough said, i have the fog lamps down low on my front bumper, but i cant figure out how to turn them on

i have 3 light settings: headlights, those yellow thingies, and off... dont see "fog" anywhere in there--- do they work? or are they just for show- there are bulbs in there, i checked'

Put the *** on 'those yellow thingies' (parking lamps) or your headlights and PULL the switch out gently. Viola.

Like red said, turn the ****, then pull it straight out.

 

I had the same problem when I first bought my Intrepid, and I thought "Damn, the fog lights don't work." So I started checking in the fusebox, and found that one of the fog lamp relays was missing. So I pull into the parking lot of the store, ready to buy a new relay, and figure I'd peek at my owner's manual and see if the relay was listed. I found the instructions saying you had to pull on that ****, and boy did I feel dumb. I'm not sure what that relay was supposed to have been for, but the fog lights work fine without it.

It pays to read your manual

yeah i decided to be efficient and read while i was driving to school this morning haha it worked i figured it out
they are badass lol

 

Don't feel too bad, one of the guys I work with finished cleaning the interior of his truck. The next morning he jumps in to head to work, and no dash lights. Drives to work with a small flashlight stuck in his mouth. Gets home, starts looking at the fuses, everything is good. Starts opening up the dash, no apparent problems. He starts asking me what I thought it could be--he's already invested a couple of hours into it, I asked him if he tried turning the dimmer **** up----brain fart royale!!!!! problem solved, and we all had a good laugh.

 

I don't know about ya'lls truck, but on the lamb switch in my truck it has a picture of the fog lamp symbol and says "pull" under it. But hey, we've all done stupid stuff, for example: I just found out that it's fringe benefits and not french benefits. Yeah, I'm a dumb redneck from Texas that can't speak english, but aren't we all idiots every once in a while.

P.S. The owners manual is actually a pretty good read. You find out alot of stuff about your truck that you didn't know: like what that "PTY" button on the radio is.
