DONT TRY TO BE COOL!
Last night i was feeling spiffy and felt like punking some rice burners and look for some titans to eat up but with no luck i found a long strip of empty road with hardly any stop lights. so i was to tempted to not do atleast a couple burnouts... so i got into position but it in neutral(BIG MISTAKE!) revved it at 3500 rpms and drpped into drive ... next thing i know in like 1.2 seconds into it i am not going anywhere and there is a really loud clanking coming from all around me. i said to myself f************ck! i put it in park to assess the damage but it kept rolling and wouldnt stop unless i put the brakes on . i again said f**********ck i looked under my truck and there she was laying down on the ground so helpless.. it look s like it might just be the cv joins or boot because of where it busted off at, any way i towesd it to a local performance shop that i know and hopefully get her fixed up soon! in case that i have to repalce the drive shaft any one know how much that is to fix?? thanx
dude that sucks. i know youre going to remember never to do this again but why did you want to do that in the first place? everyone knows that stuff damages your transmission and/or other stuff like badly. there was one guy posted on here before who blew his tranny doing that and dealership wouldnt fix it cus the computer showed that it was the driver's fault. just do like everyone else and like hold the brakes hard and gas it. it will burn your brakes like a mo but youre less likely to tear something up. well everything i just said was useless but at least it brought your topic back to the top of the page again
I agree...neutral drop = very bad
Power brake = much more effective (not to mention safe) awesome display of power
