WANTED: Pics of Custom Stereo Systems in QC
I just began looking into putting in a good stereo system in my 04 QC. Was looking for ideas and preferably pictures of how some of you did it. I was thinking in the under-seat storage, but that seems a little small. Don't want to jeprodize any space, but still want some good sound. I was thinking flip up touch screen in dash, get my MP3 player wired in, and a decent system, but nothing radical.
Suggestions or ideas? THanks a lot guys,
Chris

Well, since your in a QC, I recommend you take a look at this.....

This guy was a member of another Dakota board that I was on. He was very cool and he gave me some helpful tips when I had both my Dakotas..... The link takes you to a layout of his soundsystem. Click on any of the images and it will show you what he went thru to install it and has step by step pictures of it. This was a very clean setup and anytime someone asks about a QC sound system, I suggest this.
It covers the need for a sub but not in losing space.....Good luck man!

Thanks man. That site looks pretty interesting. I just buzzed through it quickly, so I will need to take a more in depth look at it. Seems like what I want to do though.

Yeah, his truck is pretty sweet. One of the guys on the board had actually been in it...and really said it sounded great. The sub was just enough to give that bass feel without being stupid....and it wasnt killing anyone to listen to it. It's a very clean job and for someone like yourself, isnt overkill or too difficult to do.
