Default 06 Shift pause

Has anyone's 06 had a shift pause between 1-2 and a slight pause between 2-3. Its almost like its a stick, like a clutch is depressed and released. Its not a problem, just odd. Other than that My new truck has been incredible.

Mine does the same thing. Kind reminds me of my 2005 Acura RL, just not as refined.

The engine computer reduces the engine torque(output) on low throttle to reduce wear on the tranny. If you get into it it shifts faster. My 06 does it to

Does it get better with time- mine does shift pretty hard going from 1-2- jerks a little bit at slow acceleration.

Has anyone notice improvment with time. Dealer said its normal. I drove the dealers demo mega cab with 7000 miles and it doesn't do it.

It does improve with time. I'm about to turn 2000 miles (will hit it on the way to the shore tomorrow) and already see a significant difference.

No difference over time. That's the new tranny for the 06 models. It doesn't get any better, you just get use to it.

Just turned 7000 on mine, still does it.
