well all after carefully consideration i have finally started to debadge the ram, today i got all the badges off and some of the adhesive but that adhesive **** is on their and so far haven't had any ghosting or shadowing on the SLT badges on the rear doors but when i was cleaning of the D and O off the rear tailgate i have had some minor shadowing but nothing bad yet hopefully no bad shawdowing will happen, keepin my fingers crossed, but does anyone have any good ideas on how to get the adhesive off easier, im using turtle wax bug and tar remover but it just takes forever to do one letter, anyone have a better way. thanks for any help.

P.S. my thumbs are sore as **** and im already starting to get two blisters on my thumbs!! lol

a friend did this yesterday and used Goof Off on his black paint. Just be gentle with it or any product you put on your paint!

Another product is 3M adhesive remover. Spray on, let it soak for a few minutes and wipe off... This stuff removed the sound deadening material (like dynamat) that Acetone couldn't touch.

When I did it I found that WD-40 worked well. I soaked the letters, give it time to bleed in and cut behind in a sawing motion with fishing line, add more WD-40 and scrape with my thumb nail. Tedious but it was all gone. As for the shadowing it was noticable on the doors due to the dirt coming off the front wheels. I clay barred it and it was gone. Make sure you wash off the WD-40 or what ever product you use promptly though when done. I love the clean look. Oh yeah, I left the HEMI badges on the front end of course.

Once done and the letters are off go over it with some fine rubbing compound or polishing compound then wax, this will eliminate any ghosting.

UPDATE: Still working on the debadge, i have all the "SLT" on the doors and the "DODGE" on the tail gate and the "1500" drivers side still have the ram on the drivers side and the whole passenger door to go, but i will have to say from the tailgate it looks awesome without the badges, this is well worth the work..

Sweet. Gotta post some pics.

I've got a couple of ugly dents in my tailgate thanks to some A$$ hole in a Home Depot parking lot. Too bad the cameras didn't cover that far back. Worst thing was that my truck was 3 days old! Oh well. Gotta get them pulled out before I debadge.

yea all i will try to post some pics up today or tomorrow but another question is are those rubber things on the bottom of the door able to come off to like the same why with a blow dryer and some fishing line? i think it will look real akward if i leave them on the bottom of the doors with no badges. any help is always apperciated.

Thanks

Someone on this board posted in the past that the door guards come off the same way. They look like the do. That is my next project so I don't know first hand.
