Default Looking for "shallow" toolbox...

I have an 06 QC shortbox, and I guess I want too much.
Had a Delta box in my 03, took up too much room for my needs... I have a tendancy to pile cooler full of tuna or half a dozen deer, or half a shore house worth of furniture in the truck, and a 24" deep/wide box just took up too much space.
I've seen "shallow" toolboxes on display every now and then at Home Depot or other stores, but can never seem to actually find them for sale..
Are these just floor models?
I'd love to find a box that only extends about 14"-16" back from the cab... Just enough to hold my craftsman tool box, jumper cables, and my routine crap. (Or a couple rifle cases during hunting season.)
I have no need for a mega box.... Shortens the bed and acts as a magnet for useless crap.

So, anyone know where I can buy a narrow box?
Thanks in advance,
Pat

no but im sure you could search for toolboxes on google or yahoo search and find what your looking for...also everything you listed that you would like to keep in your toolbox could easily fit under your backseat in the storage compartments. even the rifle cases they sit on top of everything under the seat very nicely. ive managed to fit 2 hard rifle cases (one of them had 2 rifles in it the other on only had one) and a soft shotgun case under the backseat of mine and that was on top of rain gear, tools, jumper cables, etc. so if you want to keep the maximum amount of space in the bed then the storage under the seats is perfectly fine.
