I have one, the AeroTurbine 3030. I put it on 2 years ago and absolutely love it.
I kept the stock resonator on because if you take it off, you will get a loud drone in the cab that will drive you nuts.
My rear wheel horsepower went from 260 to 277 and tourque went from 284 to 310 after installing it.
The only other mod I have is a K&N drop in air filter.

Wow nice gains!!! It looks much smaller than I thought it would be too so I assume it is too short to be a bolt in? I was hoping I could use OEM style U clamps and bolt it right in. Did you have to add a custom bent 3" pipe to go to the pipe over the axle? Thanks a ton for the great info, pictures and resluts.

You probably could use U clamps, but remember this, the stock pipe is slightly smaller than 3 inches in diameter and it might leak, it was easy to fill in the gap by welding it.
The hardest part for me was finding 3 inch stainless pipe, and a shop with the ability to bend it. He did have to fabricate an extension piece to bridge the gap between the old muffler that is 3 feet long with the 3030 which is only 20 inches long. The stock tailpipe starts at the top at the axle, you can see the piece he made in the top photo.

WOW those are some nice gains for sure, I have been looking at the Aero Turbine 3030 or the Flowmaster 50 Series H.D. 3.00" O/C.
I have been leaning towards the Aero, Sounds awesome. I have been worried about loosing toq but after reading that I belive I will go for it.

Don't just take my word for it.... Click the links and read what others have to say about it.

Also, you can get a lot of feedback from the testimonials on their web site.

Thanks for the info and links, I was at their web site, have any of you guys listened to the audio they have for the 3030 on a 2004 Hemi? Sounds killer, after reading all of the info I am going for the Aero.

Thanks again

Just had mine put on today, with a tip and kept the OEM resonator. I love muscular sounding cars, but this is my DD so I kept it a bit tame. My Z06 is wild enough so back to the Aero.

Yes the shop wleded it in, and had to add a 10" piece before the muffler to make up for the shortness compared to the oem muffler. Wow it was heavy too and not like the reduction will be fealt but still nice.

Sound, well, perfect IMO. It does rumble a bit @ idle and when under load, pure music. Some trucks (and rice) here in town are just noisy with out any power or tuned, more like untuned noise. This mufler sounds tuned but is not overbearing at all. I could talk on the cell, hear the CD ect no issues no drone.

Perfomance. I did not get a chance to dyno it before so I can only gues. I did tune the truck with a superchips tuner last night and wow what a change!!! It did feal a little flat at first after the mufler swap, but after some WOT romps, it feals better then before. I might reflash it to stock, to an idle relearn and then re-flash with the tuner for high test and see if that gets any more gains.

I will make some passes Sunday to see what the true gains are. It should be a bit cooler and better air, but it should be a fair comparison. Thanks!

Chief, I am glad you like it. I knew you would. I never have been to the track so I have no idea what gains you will see. It will take a day or so for the computer to relearn the increase in flow, but you knew that was going to happen.
The thing I like about it is that when you driving around "normally" it is not obnoxiouslly loud, but when you get on the gas, ther is no doubt that it is there. I am also happy to see that you kept the resonator because a lot of guys took it off and said it was too loud and had an awful drone. Good luck at the track, I'll be watching this post to see how you do.

We stock 3" stainless tube and mandrel bends. The tubing is offered by the foot. As far as the clamps, the Aero mufflers are designed for a slip joint, which makes them very easy to weld in place, or clamp in. Rather than using a U Clamp, I would recommend using a Torctite Clamp which is preformed specifically for slip joint applications. Torctite's are a 3" wide band clamp with a step built in to accomodate the difference in size from a 3" OD tube to a 3" ID tube that you would find in the slip connection.

Hope this helps

Regards,
Tim
