Default Problem with idle

My truck when first starting it revs to around 2500 rpms and then will drop to about 1200 rpms. The idle will jump from 1200 to 750 rpms until I give it some gas and then everthing will be fine. Any body have any ideas to what the problem might be.

I have a 2004 and mine did a very similar thing. It started all of a sudden, and did it for awhile. I took it in as it was under warranty and they said it was bad gas. I always fill up in the same place using chevron, so I didnt believe it. They drained the tank and cleaned it and it has ran great ever since. I hope this helps, I am glad it was nothing more serious, even though this was a hassle enough.

Change plugs, clean the TB, and get good gas. That should take care of it.
