It's like froto'sride said. When the door lock actuator goes out, it jams up the whole mechanism. Only way to fix is to replace the whole door latch as the actuator is integral. You can take the gear out like froto'sride said, but be careful and take your time as you remove the screws and take it apart, as I remember some of the internal parts like to shoot across the driveway when you are not looking. I am going through the same prob. I have to order an new power lock actuator. they are not that expensive if you get them online. If you just want to fix the problem for the time being you can take the lock out of the door and remove the half moon gear that connects the motor to the lock and that will allow you to unlock it with the key until you get a new one. this is what i did and, if you want to do it and don't know how just tell me and i will walk you through it. sorry if i miss spelled anything ids've had few blue moons ofprob mores
