tell us a little more about your plans. are you looking for exact replacement for stock or do you want to increase airflow i.e. increase intake/maf, headers, etc?

nahh, I just want to put a muffler on for now just to get a little grumble out of my truck. I think its pointless spending $400 on a cat back system that only replaces the muffler and the pipes when I can jsut buy the muffler itself and just go off the original 3" piping that come stock with the truck. And eventually I want to buy a Viper hood and make it functional.

I'm currently using a Magnaflow (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=483) - nice deep rumble and not much in the way of resonation (no resonator)....Allot of your selection will depend on how loud you want it...Magnaflow isn't very loud (slightly louder than stock) but flow's better..

yea, magnaflow would be nice. Does anybody know how good dynomax sounds? I just dont want to make the wrong decision. Plus I dont want it to be too loud, it will just b irritating on long trips. So maybe the magnaflow will b nice, a good mean grumble but not too loud.

I personally think dynomax sounds like crap. I have heard one on a 05 Hemi. Flowmaster and magnaflow are nice sounding. I personally run flowmaster super 40 and I love it.
