50K and having electrical issues.
So my 04 Dodge Ram 1500 QC Hemi is just over 50K miles and Yesterday on my way home from work I got big surprise. As I am driving down the road all of a sudden all of my gauges go funtioning to not functioning and so on. Every warning light that is oin the dash comes on and stays on. These are the following trouble lights I have
Check Enfine Light
Low Fuel Light
Serv 4WhlDr.
Air Bag
Brake
ABS
Security
No Tach
No Speedo
Odometer switch from reading milage to No BuS
So I stop at my local AutoZone and have them plug there code reader into my truck. There code reader starts to go haywire and reads off a couple of different codes. A message pops up on the code reader saying communication has been lost with the TCM. The guy looks up the code and on the computer screen it says in big letters. SEE DEALER. Last night I check and find what appears to be a couple of loose connections on my computer. So I check all connections and all of a suddent everything is back to normal.
Get in my truck this morning to go to work and it starts all over again. Right now my truck is at the dealer having some electrical diags run on it. Got to work and checked out what is and is not covered under the 7/70 power train warranty. Yeah No ELECTRICAL. What a crock of ****.
Any one had this problem or seen this.
Thanks
Dustin

It sounds like the bus line from your instument panel to the microprocessor came loose. Start by disconnecting the ground to the battery. Then pull that connector back apart and check for any corroson, arcing, oxidation signs, etc. check the pins to ensure they haven't become loose in any way with a pencil eraser....DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH YOUR FINGERS, THE ACIDS WILL START THE CORROSION PROCESS. If you must use your fingers, put on some thin rubber gloves and an anti-static strap to ground. Once you got it all cleaned up, blow out any "stuff" with compressed air, put it back together, reconnect the battery and you should good to go. By disconnecting the battery, it also resets it. This allows the microprocessirs to reload and recognise the instument panel.
