2006 Ram 1500 Quad w/ 4.7 exhaust
I purchased this truck last week and am looking to upgrade the exhaust. I have never purchased an exhaust system before. I would appreicate any pointers you folks are willing to give. It seems I keep reading about Flowmaster 40 series the most on here. Do you guys recommend a true dual system or not?
Thanks for reading and the advice.
Thanks for reading and the advice.
I have the Flowmaster Super 40 series which I absolutely love. It's a deeper version of the 40 Series. Not too loud at idle, nice growl when taking off. Click on the link below and click where it says "Sound Clip" on the 40 Series and Super 40 at the same time and you can hear the difference. The 2nd link is a bunch of other exhasut systems with the motors. Good luck.

I have been calling arounf and have got prices ranging anywhere from 300 - 600 for the Flowmaster setup. can anyone give me an idea of what they have paid? I am in Jacksonville, Florida here.
Thanks

Flowmaster super 40s is one hell of an exhaust system but they're just a little to noisy for my liking now (no offence to you flowmast guys cause I do love them and they worked wonderfully on my 76' GMC). Im going with the Borla Catback system for my 05' Ram which is gonna run me roughly $759.95 out the door installed for the system but from the specs Ive seen from various places on it I think it'll be worth the extra $$$ and it sounds just incredible to me, its not to noisy but has a real throaty/performance sound to it and all the power that goes with it. Besides it'll be something different than all the flowmaster and Magnaflow exhaust systems that are basically on every truck on the road that Ive seen.
