I agree with buell.

But if you have to have it, go with the way it will cost you least in the end. Leasing only makes the dealer richer. That's why they push it so much.

Leasing works ok if you can write it off as business expense.

Try to find a loan company/bank to borrow the money from.

leasing is bad, period. My first decent truck was a 97 F-150, but used, and financed, over the years the truck needed maintenance and repairs due to the high mileage...Fearing puting money into it, I tradded it in on a 02 F-150 and leased it for two years, I as 100% convinced I would buy the Ford, But it was a teriable truck, I was paying for a lemmon I would never own, I bailed on the truck early in my lease and went to a 04 F-150, also a lease..

I'm self employed and I can write off the mileage and truck payments up to 60 to 75%, I also have to log my personal mileage for revenue Canada, I really rack up the mileage, on the 04 Ford, it had it's problems...So I bought a 2500 Ram..

I have more deprecation to write off and I'm closer to owning the truck, the dealers want to lease, over the span of ten years at 10,000 every two years ( ford ) I'm basicly buying Ford and my dealer a new truck, never put money down a lease, all it dose is lower your monthly payemnets and dose nothing to lower the residual vaule, and if you do decide to buy it, your paying a inflated price for your truck at high finace rates at the end of your lease..

This also effect's your credit score, debit virus income, you have a debit and no equity in your rented car/truck, so far I have found no advantage to leasing and writing off the payments...

Only advantage I can see to leasing is if you get a lemon, you give it back, but you pay a lot of the privilage, the quicker you own your own house and your own car/truck, the better off you are regaurdless of it's alemon or not, this world is based on items ( cars trucks ) depreacting, if your car was alemon, or 100% perfect, the blue book vaule is still the same...

I just paid my truck off about 5 months ago... Man thats a great feeling... and the additional 450.00 bucks a month back in my account just keeps growing. If I had leased I would NEVER have owned my vehicle and I would ALWAYS be paying someone else for the privledge to driving my truck...??

Many people feel they NEED a warrantee... but you realy do not need one. Right now I have saved 2500 bucks and growing because I have NO PAYMENT ... this money could easily fix just about anything that could possilbey go wrong with the truck... and the longer I go without a problem the more money I have to fix any problem that should arrise. Because I own Im better off without the 450.00 a month payment for a warrantee.

I say BUY and KEEP it as long as you can. There is No need to trade in for a NEW truck payment just for a warrantee.... put that money in your account not theirs.

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

A huge part of having fun with your truck is modding it - do you want to keep it stock ? - i like the owning feature, but nothing against leasing

I use to think leasing was worthless - but to each their own; if you can only afford the lower payment then go with the lease -

You ever watch king of cars - i would tell them you want to own it, they are only coming at you with a lease because it fits your budget better. Make them lower the costs of the truck. Tell them you only want to buy, if the payments aren't right - then leave. you can always go back tommorrow to lease it. But at least this way you get a better feel on what they are really willing to drop to.
