Well. Here I was thinking that my rig was set for 8900lbs and I was clear pulling my 7500LB (EMPTY) travel trailer. LOL. No wonder it was getting a little low in the rear. LOL.

Well I am glad I got my Timbren SES that the canadian said would "Add half more to your towing ability" which has me at around 12750LBs.... LOL. Yea right. I have been wanting a 2500 for some time now. But I wouldnt Over pull with my truck. I might get right close to the limit.....LOL.

That's what I was thinking..especially moving up to that MegaCab.
Hope you enjoy 11.5 MPG.

We had ONE half ton MegaCab, when we saw what the mpg was on that thing, we thought we better just stick with the Diesels.

Well, I don't tow heavy anymore and diesel here is .35-.40 cents more per gallon.
I blew one head gasket and lost the #6 wristpin in my Cummins. No it wasn't stock, but it only had 45000 miles.

That's a big truck

I think you are in need of some nerf bars to help the short people.

Hey Phatboy,

I know this is off the topice but ..

What, in the way of towing capacity/specifications, exactly did this mod increase ? I can tell you from experience, the 3.55's arent made for towing. Real crappy towing my Cherokee Light with the 03 qc 4.7/3.55's. My camper only weighs around 5k dry. In additon, if you to tug <=12,000 lbs, this means the standard tongue weight should be setup somewhere between 1200 and 1800 lbs. in fact, 1800 lbs almost exceeds Mega cab payload rating ..

1200 lbs leave you a payload of 100 lbs. 1800 lbs exceeds payload capacity by approximately 500 lbs.

I really would like to do some reading on this mod, but Im skeptical. Im not a weight ****. I just like to know that I have the right tool for the job. You just cant turn a 1500 into a 2500. The closest you can come is the Mega cab which is precisely why I trade he 05 in my avatar in.

As far as the lift ... I like it. But doesnt even the stock tires look a bit too small for the Mega ?
