Serpentine belt snapping.
The serpentine belt is just an in-line drive belt. rather than the old setup with multiple belts. The Hemi has a regular timing chain, no problems. You loose all the auxiliaries, but mechanical damage doesn't happen.
If the serpentine belt breaks I would not drive it tell it was fixed and would shut down as soon as it hapened as the water pump is ran from this belt and them aluminum heads would be damaged from overheating worping and cracking would be a lot of damage from the lack of water circulation.
Cheers for the info.
I don't like or trust those belt drive cams.
Lost quite a lot of valves in a car I once had through them snapping.

You will not lose any valves hemi has a timing chain thats what turns the cam shaft on the hemi the serpentine belt is used for the alt, powersteering pump and ac. But as I said if it breaks hemi will over heat due to the water pump not turning and that will cause damage to the aluminum heads is all from overheating from the water pump not turning becouse belt is broken andas you know if water pump is not turning water is not moving so it gets hot and overheating happens without even having a coolant leak.
