Got a question. I have a 2002 Ram 1500 QC, and when indoors driving, i.e., indoor garage, i hear a rattle coming from the under side of the vehicle. I never hear it outdoors, just when I'm driving slow, looking for a parking spot.
Anyone have any idea's?

 

it might be your exhaust pipes rattling just slightly or a loose screw or washer, Most parking garages will make even the slightest unheard noises echo. when do you hear it, is it when your turning or just going straight or is it a constant thing when you're in a parking garage? Also when youre at home I would start it up and attempt to listen for it when its parked or have someone walk beside it while youre going down the street slowly to see if they can hear a slight/soft rattle coming from the undercarage. Parking garages (specially indoor ones) have been known to play tricks on drivers too, I know this from experience with my old 76' chevy. Its funny how one little loose washer can make your whole truck sound like its about to shake to pieces in a parking garage....

 

I have the same thing on my truck. when i drive at 1300 or 1400 rpms something is making a vibration noise under the truck.

 

Check all the heat shields and any protection plates you might have. Anything loose in the bed (beer cans, trash, etc)

 

I had the same thing I went under the truck and there is a heat shield under the R side rear seat I bent it down about a 1/2in and no more rattle

 

My 94 ram did that and it was the cat, it melted down and what was left was rattling around inside it. did not efect anything else. just was anoing.
