Has anyone else noticed a loud "clunk" when you switch gears from park down to drive? Its on an 05' 1500 Reg. Cab SLT

My '03 4x4 is pretty rough going from park to drive. F.Y.I., the rear end is getting replaced on Thursday. The differential is pretty beat up. Warranty is covering it though. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the change from park to drive or not.

yea same here when i park on the driveway at my house it will make a loud clunk to reverse or drive but when i park on the street no sounds except the servo, it might be because of torque lock with the weight of the truck and the pressure on the plates it might be the coulprit of the loud clunk

everycar or truck makes a clunk when parked on a hill without the e-brake on, i have an 03 never heard a clunk before, then again truck only has 16000 miles on it, probably not even broken in yet
