I guess its easy to just swap out the pipes so thats what they sell. anything more guess have to have a shop custom make it.

You wont find a true dual to dual exhaust kit unless you go buy all the parts and have it custom made. All the stock trucks Ive seen are running a single pipe due to the cat, I guess its just cheaper. If you do go with true duals though you'll need to buy all the guts to the system (2 Cats, 2 Mufflers, and you might even have to get new headers and adapters too) and of course the custom pipes. Also climb under your truck and check and see if the "X" pipe pattern you want on your truck will fit and if your gonna have clearance issues with anything. All and All you'll be looking at one hell of a system if you can do it and do it right but its gonna take a BIG chunk out of your wallet!!

I think some of it also has to do with the placement of the fuel tank. Even my SRT-10, which is a dual system routes down the same side of the truck with a very interesting muffler.

Not to mention, that with the loss of backpressure, there is a loss of low end torque. . . and the reasons mentioned above such as cost, placement, etc

Got true duals on my '05 Ram Hemi SLT. They are not from a kit, so they exit out the back. I would just check around, I found a guy who loves hot rods, even builds his own headers for some. He was able to do mine, I paid more for it, but I love the way they sound. My truck had 2 CATs on it, and this guy had done a few of them before, he did a great job of routing the pipes and making sure they cleared everything ok.

Haven't noticed any loss. It runs great, I get better fuel mileage, about 15.8MPG, only have 5800 miles on it so far. Jumps off the line. Just returned from a 800 mile round trip to Northern Arkansas, going thru hilly terrain, and it ran awesome. IMO it actually runs better now, also added a K&N CAI + Superchips Flashpaq...I love my truck

Perhaps you have some pics? I am interested in how the guy ran it. Also, what diameter piping did he use?
