I know this is the truck section, but most of the people I know are on this side,so I am going to share this with you all.My 16 year old daughter drives a 2004 Intrepid,on Monday of this week she was broad sided at a rural highway intersection at about 50 MPH.She took the full impact in the drivers door, she had to be cut out of the car by the local Fire department(those guys rock, they dont get paid enough).Take a look at the pictures, looks bad,but this Car took the full impact and the only injuries my girl has are bumps and bruises and a concusion.Thank God for big safe cars and thank you Mopar for building me one!The car is a total write off,but my girl is already hitting me up to find her another Intrepid!Ihave no problem putting her in another one.The Firebird that hit her was worse off by far,the engine was torn loose and twisted in the engine compartment, the tranny dug into the pavement and was laying sideways under the car, driver was ok thanks to his air bag
If your looking for a safe car for your kids to start driving in,I would highly recomend one of these!

Looks like the car did its job and I'm really happy to hear your daughter was ok. When I read the first line, I was expecting another spammer, but I'm always glad to hear stuff like that. I hope you can find a suitable replacement.......maybe a new charger

Glad your daughter is OK. Looks like a huge impact. I have a 1999 Intrepid and love it. Like you said it is a big car ( back seat is huge) and it rides and drives great. Bought it new and haven't done anything to it. I get 30 mpg highway and 20 plus all around. Can't belive they quit making them without something similiar to replace it. Your storey make me glad my wife drives one.

Holy WoW!, thank god she is safe from major injuries, aside from that the car looks like it took one hell of a beating but the engine looks 100% ok, was it considered totaled?

btw i noticed you have 3 cars from 2k4 what a coincidence lol.. hmm, dodges and well Diamler Chrylser period builds tough vehicles, my mom was in an accident where the **** head on her 70mph+ into our old dodge ram, the thing wasnt totaled and it had been just pushed in one corner, really safe vehicles.

Yes get her another Intrepid +1

Most important part is that your daughter is fine. Those cars are built like a tank.

figure the value of the salvageable parts, and that you would have to junk the rest, posibly could sell the motor to a ricer who blew his, and hmmm, maybe dont buy it back.

I forget who it was, but they were in a similar situation when they rolled thier Ram. He bought it back and made a couple of thousand profit for it as I recall. It is a DF member and it was from a month or 2 ago.
