Default Power Programmer

I am preparing for a 2000 mile round trip in my Ram. I have 1 question from the ones who have them. Would a programmer like hypertech or superchips help alot on fuel efficency? I have 3 weeks before I leave and I was wondering if either of these 2 will make it easier on my wallet.

Not really, I stuck mine on perf towing so that the truck would have some pep with the 6000lbs I was towing. Mileage was **** and you have to put premium in it.

Brother I just drove 2400 miles with my 06 quad cab hemi ram ... I have a hypertech programer III installed.... I programed mine to burn the high test fuel and I found that if I kept it at around 65 I would get about 22 to 23 MPG.... ofcourse i had a problem doing that and usually was up around 75 or 80... at 75 i was getting about 19 or 20 and at 80 it dropped to around 17 or 18. I was going off of what the truck was saying I was getting as avg MPG I didnt actually try and figure it up myself... hope this helps...
