2005 hemi ram odometer shutoff
i had heard from a freind of mine that there is a way to shut off the odometer/gauges in the 2005/06 rams, i tried looking for it on the site but i couldnt locate it, sorry to post again im sure its been up in the past... any info would be appreciated. thanks J.

where does this myth come from - someone else posted that in here a while back, and got zero positive results. Anything is possible, but i dont think there is solution similar to shutting off the seatbelt alarm. I ask a lot of stupid questions sometimes repetitive, but i do search for the answers first.
I recommend you use the search tool on these forums, its great.
BTW, it probably won't be too long before someone leaves you negative feedback, so you may want to indicate the positives that shutting off the OD will produce (besides screwing the next potential buyer)

you can shutoff the seatbelt buzzer - its an odd series of clicks. I was just making the comment that i dont think you can do a similar odd series of clicks to shut off the OD

To shut off the seat buzzer:
1. Put on seat belt
2. Turn key to ON position without starting engine
3. When seat belt light goes off latch and unlatch seat belt 3 times in less than 10 seconds and end in buckled position
4.Shut key off
5. If you hear a single tone the buzzer has been disarmed
Did mine this morning

Are you serious?
If you do that, why not just call ahead so the jail has a fresh bed made up for you.
