Bought a bolt-on Flowmaster system on Ebay. 5 year warranty and guaranteed to bolt right up. Received it 3 days ago. No hangars, Dual exhaust pipes both are different lengths coming out the back. So I have tried contact this seller 14 times since then and no response. I just wanted to let all the members know that they need to watch this seller, macautopartsdiscounts. I just reported this guy to ebay. Wish me luck.

 

That is why I do not shop on e-bay. Yeah you can sometimes get a good deal but in situations like your it just does not seem worth it. Hope it all works out for you.

 

yeh that sucks dude. I think I saw that same exhaust on there u got when I was looking for mine, glad I didnt get it now. What did his feedback look like??

 

You know I didn't really look at this before, but he has had 265 negative feedback comments left in the past 12 months....I guess I should have looked at this first.

 

Ebay is on my $hit list for the past few months. Bought a limited slip diff. for my car, (and it was defective out of the box) and haven't had much luck with the seller. The feedback was about as good as it gets, and still no response from the seller. What good is a lifetime warranty if the seller won't talk to you. Anyway I've taken it to a "claim" status on Paypal. So feedback doesn't always garauntee a safe sell. Good luck!

 

Live and learn.... Feedback is the first thing I look at. It's definately not a guarantee, but it'll give you a feel for how the seller does business. Even two or three negatives is enough to make me stop and think, let alone 265. For little stuff I'll check eBay, but for big stuff I just feel better going through a reputable business. Hopefully, if you work with eBay maybe they can get your money back.

 

Just an update on this. I took my truck to muffler shop and they charged me $100 to fix it all and weld it all up. I also had new Magnaflow 18" stainless tips put on. I left the seller negative feedback and he reported me for non-payment even though I have a receipt, what a moron.

 

The retaliation negative feedbacks really suck...I've had 3 in 6 years. This is one aspect Ebay needs to change. Any idiot who screws you over can wreck your feedback.

 

If you get a chance post this idiots Ebay user ID,..so we can all avoid him. Hope you get it all resolved.
