Default Trying to get the most out of the 4.7

Hey guys I'm trying to get the most power (reasonably, meaning no turbo or anything like that) out of my 03 4.7. Already have dual exhaust and a high flo cat.
Was thinking:
1. 4.56 Gears (got the 20" rims) or maybe 4.10
2. Fastman TB (not sure what size)
3. Airram induction, scoop, and wire
4. 180 thermo
5. Thats all I can think of for now

Have a similiar set up as you have. I got owned by a Titan the other day. was going 60mph, and he pulled up beside me, and we both looked at each other. Floored it, I started to pull ahead for about 2 seconds then his took off and left about a trucks length of room between us. We both did gun it at the same time. (other driver was my boss) Anyway won't let me live it down that American muscle got owned by a foriegn vehicle. After a few more mods that'll change.

Anyway would do the gears I'm looking at purchasing a set as well. Father is a mechanic said he'd help me install them.

Also get rid of the belt driven fan, will free up a few more pony's I've got a fan just haven't gotten time to install it yet.
Get a mark VIII fan. It really is a beast. You'll be amazed at it's size once you set eyes on it.

The fastman TB you're looking for is 68.50 to 71 mm That's for the 03 to present.

If money is no object, could always go with forced induction. lol but it'll run ya about 4-5k.

But if you're like me, You have to save for parts that you want. It'll just take time. Would also recommend a Superchips Flash pack. Hopefully I'll be able to get one before the end of the year. Model number is 3715 if you get it off Superchips website, about 470+ with shipping, or you could risk doing it ebay style.

Look into cam's as well good way to gain around 30HP. But you can't get much the 4.7L without forced induction and you probably don't want to mess with nitrous.

Hey guys I'm trying to get the most power (reasonably, meaning no turbo or anything like that) out of my 03 4.7. Already have dual exhaust and a high flo cat.
Was thinking:
1. 4.56 Gears (got the 20" rims) or maybe 4.10
2. Fastman TB (not sure what size)
3. Airram induction, scoop, and wire
4. 180 thermo
5. Thats all I can think of for now

I have been able to get my Quad Cab 4.7L to run a best of 9.91 in the 1/8 mile and that was before the Fast Man Ported Heads, 212 cams & 2800 Stall... as soon as I get it all tuned correctly I will be looking at low 9's in the 1/8th.

So you dont need a supercharger to get decent HP...

Your on the right track and I would definatly throw the elctric fan, and 206 cams onto the list...

1. 4.56 Gears (got the 20" rims) or maybe 4.10
2. Fastman TB (not sure what size)
3. Airram induction, scoop, and wire
4. 180 thermo
5. Thats all I can think of for now

1) Do the 4.56 gears FIRST... you will not be disapointed.
2) High flow "Y" into a TRUE 3" single exhaust with a 3"ID cat and a 3"ID single in single out muff...
3) Fast Man throttle body & Cold Air Induction system
4) Dont waist your time on the T-stat... no noticable gain in HP for a NOTICABLE LOSS in fuel economey.. not worth it unless you have a PROGRAMER like SUPERCHIPS.
5) Superchips programer... Pulls all your mods together.
6) 206 cams... These are a must for any 4.7L owner who wants to bolt on an easy 35-40HP overnight.

All the mods listed above in a QUAD CAB 4.7L Ram will have you SMOKING other quad cab HEMI Rams, and they will all have you knocking on the doors of regular cab hemi Rams...

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM
