Default TransGo shift kit and a Superchip

Can I use both at the same time or does the one thing to the same as the other. I know if the shifts are firm and the redline is 6200RPM I can hit a 14.6 or faster in the 1/4mile. So is having both a benefit or should I just get one.

I have heard of people useing them together... I have not YET heard of any issues with the two used at the same time... Only time will tell...

I'm using the shift kit, I have the 4.7L with the 3715 tuner ... at first glance it seems TransGo does not want you to install the resistor if you use a programmer ... further review shows that this is true, ONLY if your programmer makes modifications to your tranny, which my 3715 does not. So, I will be installing the resistor this weekend, which increases tranny line pressure to further firm up the shifts.

im digging up this thread cause it's time for me to do a trans fluid change and i'm thinking of doing a shift kit while i'm at it. when i did my shift kit thread search i found mixed results on superchips and the transgo kit(or any kit for that matter). has anybody had a bad experience with superchips and the transgo kit? do you just leave out the resistor? i have an 03 and am running the 3714 superchips. the superchips does shift points and claims firm shifts, but idk if it does anything for line pressure. oh, and i have 4x4 too. heard that shift kits and 4x4 are not a good idea cause it's hard on the transfer case. so idk what i'm gonna do as of now. some input, ideas, experience, advice, etc. would be most appreciated. thanks
