Ill probably just end up getting the superchips prog. so i can set shift points. Does the smt6 or safc2 do this also that u know of airram??
The SAFC and the SMT6 only help controle your fuel curve at WOT... Other than that your Oxegen sensors make sure your AFR is 14.75:1... But there input is NOT used at WOT and thats where the SMT6 and SAFC come in handy... but again they are just band aids.

I wonder if I could use both. Program with a SuperChips the add a safc2. Would that be too much?? What do u think?
BUT WHY? What are your Air Fuel ratios now? You must ask yourself "DO YOU NEED IT?" What is your AFR at WOT?

I dont know, dont have a AFR gauge(another thing I need). All ive been hearing is that the pcm controls everything and even with mods like cia and exhaust u dont get the full potential of them. My future mods are 218 krc cam, dynatech headers with cats,. Im just trying to figure out the best way to get the most power after I have all this with either a piggyback or programmer. Trying to figure out which way to go.

If thats the case... Its too soon to ditermin weather or not you need a SMT6 or SAFC .... You first need a Wide Band AF ratio Guage... Only then can you make an informed decision on what you need...

I understand that... but you must go about it in the right order... The SMT 6 and SAFC are EXACTLY what I said they are "BAND AIDS". Before you go out and spend your money on one, you first need to decide weather or not you need one. And Second If you dont have a WIDE BAND AF ratio guage... then you will NOT be able to use either one of those because you use the AF guage to ditermin how much fuel to add or subtract... So Get an AFR guage first... then if you need the SMT6 or SAFC to add or subtract fuel at WOT then you get one.

You know with the 218 krc cam you won't need to do any tuning unless you have a QC Ram. And if you the most out of the cam you need atleast 4.10gears.

The wide bands are expensive TOOLS... but when you start to get deep into modifications they are a MUST.
