I have a 2002 5.9L QC and was wondering what would be the best,cheapest and most reliable way to get the hp to around 300. The torque is alread around 330 but the hp is around 250-260.

Depends where you are looking to add the power. High end, low end?

Getting head work done and upgrading your cam has always worked really well for me. You need to get in the motor and actually work the internals to get power, bolt ons don't work.

If you do the heads, you might also consider doing a Paxton add on supercharger. This should boost your power down low for a just of idle boost to near top end. This is a fairly expensive power adder, but it gets it done all in one shot, and it is for the most part a bolt-on affair.

 

What kind of heads should I get? Also will new heads get me to 300hp or more? Does anyone have any links to find what would be the best? Sorry about all the ques Im new to the truck world
