Default Tonneau Cover?

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 and am in the market for a <$400 tonneau cover. Suggestions? I have looked into the truxedo, which is so far my favorite, but I don't really know what else is out there. I want to keep it under $400 since my budget just after finishing college has been a little tight. Ideas would be great! Thanks guys!

I have the Truxedo lo profile cover on my 2500 and I absolutely love it. It's just about impervious to water (I keep my tools and stuff in the bed all the time, and don't worry about thunderstorms.) It rolls open and closed really quickly, was a cinch to install.

It's gotten a lot of use (and abuse, including twin 6 year olds climbing on top) in the last several months, and still looks brand new.

I have an Extang full tilt cover and love it! Cost $330 shipped to my door from Summit racing. Bought it 2 1/2 years ago and haven't had any problems. It goes on and off in seconds and looks great. Highly recommend it.
Contact Scott Esterle at Summit Racing, he'll take care of you.

Sounds crazy, but if your in a rural community go to your John Deere dealer. Agricover can make a very nice cover for a good price.

I bought the Extang Black Max. I don't use my bed that much and when I do, it is for small stuff so the snaps aren't that big of a deal. It keeps it really dry, too. All for $170 shipped to my door from one of our old vendors.

I found my Truxedo Low profile tonneau used in Craig's List for $200... what the hell after a rain storm everything is used right? This cover is thruly very nice looking, and very easy to work with. There are A LOT of used tonneaus out there, with the current gas prices there's a lot of trading-in going on...

I feel your pain, I have two daughters in school, could'a bought a new Viper cash for what it's costing me this year... but it's worth very penny - GOOD LUCK!!

Hilarious! I actually work for John Deere and had no idea!! I'll have to look into that. I work at a corporate office, but there is a dealer down the road that I can check out!

I bought a Lund Tri-Fold cover. I love the thing. It looks great and have used the folding many times in the short time I have used it. It was 302.00 and that included shipping and handling. Good luck.
