The 572 is a monster and has more HP and Torque. To bad GM does not have the ***** to put it into a production vehicle.

 

The 572 would. I believe the V10 is rated at 505 hp? The 572 street version is 620 horse, and the 572R (Race version) has 720 horse.

Well think of it as a new Srt10 vs an old Street Truck with the 572 in it......



I thought that they were considering putting it in the new camaro concept car but I may be wrong on that. there was a rumor going around on one of the sites I was looking at but it was probably just a bunch of bs. I also heard it might be on th corvette C6-R too.

a better comparo is the new small block 427 vs the dodge v-10... dodge would technically win that in pure numbers, but the General wins it for practicality and packaging.

 

make a 6.4 liter hemi or bigger, cmon dcx make some powerful motor options for us future challenger owners, we want atleast 600hp out of the box, minumum a 500hp engine please

 

I think there is confusion here. The GM 572 is a crate engine. GM will NOT put it into a production car. It is made for the tuner to put into a drag car, old muscle car, ect.

DC does make a big Hemi, once again it is just a crate engine, I would never plan on seeing it in a production vehicle. Although I would say DC would be more likely to put it in a vehicle vs. GM using the 572. Oh, and that article was before the 572, so it is no longer the most powerful crate engine available.
