This problems could be caused by several things. New plugs might help, how many miles are on the ones in there now? Do you know what brand they are? Lead wires may need to be replaced. You can check them by running a screwdriver over them, about 1/2 inch above the wires (not touching) and see if you get any arcing. It needs to be semi-dark to do this properly. Fuel injectors is another probability, when is the last time you had them cleaned?

changing the spark plugs may help but you probably need to have the injectors cleaned and all, you can do this two ways one is exciting and one is boring, okay so for the boring one first just put a bunch of injector cleaner in the tank fill it up and run it as close to dry as possible, just dont get stuck on the side of the road!! lol you probably are going to also be needing new wires i cant remember the recommend changing interval but just get that out of the way. okay now for the exciting one, theirs a product called seafoam, this stuff is awesome and you should get a show along with it. okay what seafoam is a de-carbonizer(if that word exists) it will clean the the carbon and varnish out of your cylinders and cleans your injectors out too, you can also add it into the tank and it will clean that way also, but thats no fun, the show comes when you are sea-foaming the engine through the throttle body you put it in and let it sit for a little bit, then you turn on the truck and you will have a smoke show out of your exhaust, and what the smoke is, is all the carbon that was in the engine..see smoking out the neighborhood is great to do i had a blast doing that. and it does work well, i did the seafoam to my moms car before she was going to have some work done and when we received the car back he said that he has never seen a engine with 168k miles have such a clean intake to the engine, so it does work.. if ya got any questions let us know we will help ya out trying to get it fixed
