In Channel Window Visors
First of all I'm looking for anyone owning a pair of In-Channel Window Visors. I had the old style tape on AVS shades on my jeep and they suited me fine, but I don't want to stick anything on my truck.
What brand are they and do they work well? - I'm looking for a pair and unsure on what to go with, I know EGR and AVS makes them and I'm not sure whether they are good or not.
When traveling at highway speeds with the windows dow do the visors stay in place?
Thanks.

I installed LUND deflectors on mine and they are great!!! Simple install, and no problems. I also found that they nearly stopped all the wind buffeting that you can get at high speeds. I strongly recommend them to anyone, and would put them on again in a second.
Hope this helps

I put a set of Wades on my QC. They haven't loosened yet. They have a tiny strip of sticky otherwise the back windows wouldn't stay on. I'm sure they'd come off easily if I wanted them to. I smoke so I couldn't live without them.
I used Auto Ventshade in my 06 and like them much better then the ones that stick on the outside of the window on the door. FYI, I had no problems with mine at 90 mph so you should not have any problems using this type of window shade. I purchased mine at: http://www.truckxpressions.com/ as they have free shipping and I received mine in only a few days after I placed my order.
BTW no matter what brand you buy make sure you follow the direction and clean with the alcohol packets they give you or the sticky tape may come off at some future date, but this can happen even more so to the ones that stick to the outside of the window.
DBLR - Do the front Auto ventshade deflectors have tape on them to stick in, I was under the impression they were snap in. EDIT - think I found my answer on that site: "3M adhesive tape holds the ventvisor to the inside of the window channel. No tape touches the vehicle's painted finish."
last question....Going 90 did you have the windows down or up?
Thanks.

dRam2500CT,
At the time drivers side was half way up and all the others were open about an inch from the top. I have had both fronts down at 65-70 MPH and they stay in place. My self I like not having the tape not touch the outside of the door.

I've had AVS in-channels on my last 4 vehicles. I highly recommend them.
Clean lines.
Zero wind noise.
Sharp looks.
Durability.
Reasonable price. (Great price if you get 'em on eBay.)

Thank you for the replies. I believe I will be going with the AVS in-channels, they seem reasonably priced. Will try to post some pics when/if I get them and install.
